Koru Beauty was born from a deeply personal journey—one of self-discovery, healing, and learning how to truly love myself. For much of my life, I carried the quiet weight of feeling like I wasn’t enough. No matter how much I achieved, how hard I tried, there was always a lingering sense of self-doubt.

Then, everything changed. When my daughter was born, I felt a profound responsibility—not just to nurture her but to ensure she grew up knowing her worth, unshaken and radiant in her self-love. I wanted her to move through life feeling confident, whole, and deeply cherished. But as I looked at her, I realized something important: if I wanted her to love herself unconditionally, I had to show her how. And to do that, I had to start with myself.

It was during this time that I came across a quote that struck me to my core: “If you criticize your child, they don’t stop loving you—they stop loving themselves.” That realization unraveled something deep within me. It made me reflect on the ways I had learned to see myself, on the patterns passed down through generations, and on the urgent need to break the cycle.

So I created Koru Beauty—not as just another beauty brand, but as a space for self-love, healing, and empowerment. Inspired by the Maori symbol of the koru, which represents renewal, growth, and the unfolding of life, Koru Beauty is a reminder that our beauty isn’t something to be earned—it’s something that already exists within us.

Every product we create is infused with this philosophy. More than makeup, more than skincare—these are daily rituals, small but powerful reminders that you are already enough.
